Tulsa Artist Fellow Adam Davis will host a lecture/photography demonstration titled 'Another Day Closer to History,' presented by Next Steps in collaboration with TCC.
Davis' portrait practice has traveled around the country in an effort to build the largest collection of Black American and global Diasporic tintype portraits in contemporary art history. During the lecture, Davis will explore what archive building looks like, the portrayal of Blackness through the lens, and how the photography medium can possibly expand through the use of archaic-analog methods.
Step out of your comfort zone and try something new at the 'I Can't' workshops, held both in-person and online on Saturdays. These workshops are free and open to the public. Join us in-person or watch online live.
