12 Semi-Finalists Named by TCC StartUp Cup
Tulsa Community College recently announced the names of 12 Semi-Finalists in the 2013 TCC StartUp Cup business model competition. The competition is powered by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation with the first place winner receiving $30,000; second place, $5,000; and third place, $2,500.
The TCC StartUp Cup competition takes place during a seven-month process and involves a series of events that provide judging, mentoring and coaching from area business leaders and experts to the entrepreneurs.
The 12 business start-ups were selected following a product pitch and interview with a panel of judges and narrowed from a record number of applications for the business model competition.

The 2013 12 Semi-Finalists move into the mentoring phase of the competition and will work with coaches who will offer resources and expertise to help the entrepreneurs polish their business models and pitch techniques before competing in the next round where the Final Six are selected. The winner will be named on Nov. 19 during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The TCC StartUp Cup is designed to support entrepreneurial growth, expand business and community connections, and maximize promotional opportunities both locally and nationally.
