While Tulsa Community College's Tulsa Achieves program provides full tuition for all Tulsa County high school graduates, it does not provide any financial support for textbooks. In today's economy the rising cost of textbooks alone cause many students to be priced out of higher education, but through the funds raised by the Textbook Trust campaign, more than 400 students have received money from donors to purchase essential textbooks.
Tulsa Achieves continues to grow and more than 12,000 students have attended college since the program began in 2007. As Tulsa Achieves grows, so does the need for additional funding.
The TCC Foundation is currently raising additional funds to establish a Textbook Endowment to ensure that no Tulsa County student misses out on the opportunity to achieve an education simply because they cannot afford textbooks.
