Getting grants and other student aid is simple. Just fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The aid you can get depends on what you tell us in your FAFSA

If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you might qualify for grants like the Federal Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, or the Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant.

Some grants are given first to those who apply first, so we suggest completing your FAFSA early each year to increase your chances of getting aid.

After you send your FAFSA, follow the steps on your Financial Aid and Scholarships Dashboard or visit the Financial Aid office. We'll tell you if there's anything else you need to do, how much money you can get, and when you'll get it.

The Federal Pell Grant Program

The Federal Pell Grant is available to qualified students who do not already have a Bachelor’s degree.

You automatically apply for a Pell Grant when you submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The maximum Pell Grant can change each year and depends on federal funding. The amount you receive will be based on your FAFSA results, your cost of attendance, and your status as a full-time or part-time student.

Federal Pell Grants

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants

SEOG provides additional funds to students with the highest need. Since Federal funding for this program is limited, priority for SEOG is given to students with the lowest expected family contributions (EFC) from the FAFSA who will also receive a Pell Grant in the Academic Year.

You will be automatically considered for this grant by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). SEOG funding is limited to a first-come, first-serve basis. Submit your FAFSA as early as possible for priority consideration.

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six hours per semester to receive SEOG.

Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant

OTAG may be awarded to Oklahoma residents who show a certain level of financial need and who apply early.

You will automatically be considered for this grant by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to receive the award. For priority consideration, submit your FAFSA by March 1 each year.

The maximum award is $1000 per Academic Year.

Note: deadlines for OTAG are subject to change each year and are set by the Oklahoma State Regents.
