The Event Center

Photo Gallery of Center for Creativity

The Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity features Oklahoma’s first “green” sustainable rooftop, with a collaborative lounge/learning space accessible to all Metro Campus students. The 250-person Event Hall features an 18’ x 10’ HD screen, professional lighting and sound, and an adjacent holding kitchen. This flexible, multi-use venue also houses a variety of art exhibitions that are free and open to the public.

The 9th Street Observation Deck offers striking views of downtown Tulsa, and the Boston Avenue Terrace overlooks the Metro Building and offers another outdoor venue for students and the public. The Center houses two state-of-the-art high definition television studios, a 24/7 regional cable channel and an Internet radio station.

The Center for Creativity was designed by Selser Shaefer Architects. The Center garnered the firm the 2009 Honor Award from The American Institute of Architects, and the 2009 Innovator of the Year award from the Journal Record.
