Orientation

Online students are required to take the Online Learning Orientation prior to enrolling in an online class or when enrolling in an online class. To access this orientation, please login to your MyTCC account at mytcc.tulsacc.edu and choose the MyAccount tab. Online Learning Orientation is available under Quick Links.

Proctored or Monitored Testing for Online Classes

Online classes may include one or more proctored testing service when taking an exam in an online class.  Classes with the course attribute of Proctored Activities will require one or more of the following options when taking exams:

TCC Testing Center – Proctored exam at Tulsa Community College in one of the four campus testing centers.
ProctorU – ProctorU is a remote proctoring session with a live proctor. The student pays a fee per exam to ProctorU.  Fees are $8.75 up to 30 minutes, $15 for 31 - 60 minutes, and $19.75 for 61 - 120 minutes for each exam setup through ProctorU.  Additional fees may apply for on-demand or rescheduled exams.
Respondus Monitor– Respondus Monitor is a recorded test session that the instructor can watch after the student takes an exam.  The student’s testing session (screen and camera) is recorded. The student pays a single fee of $10 per course per semester.

Online Tutoring Online Tutoring is available through a link on Blackboard. Login to MyTCC
and then click on Blackboard to log in. On the Blackboard Welcome page click the link for Online Tutoring.
Online Learning Orientation Under Quick Links on the MyAccount tab of MyTCC (mytcc.tulsacc.edu). All first time online students enrolled in a TCC online class are required to take the Online Learning Orientation.

Tulsa Community College provides comprehensive support services for persons with disabilities through the Education Access Center located on the Metro Campus. The Resource Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides accommodations for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. The department also serves as a resource for faculty and staff. Students are encouraged to register with the center to request accommodations.

General Tutoring Information
Tutoring is available both online and on-campus.

Online tutoring is available through Smarthinking. You must be logged into MyTCC >> Blackboard to access. On the Welcome page of Bb, the link to access Smarthinking is available in the Tools Module.

Communications/Writing Labs (Tutoring)

Communications/Writing labs provide tutoring for students in the areas of reading and writing. The most popular service is help writing papers. Students in any course (not just English) are encouraged to contact the Writing Center for help.

Please call and schedule an appointment with the desired communications/writing lab to make sure a tutor will be available in your specific area of need.

Software Downloads

TCC has licensing agreements with Microsoft that allow TCC students to download and use Microsoft Office software for free during their tenure as TCC students. You access the software downloads area through MyTCC. Go to the My Account tab. Quick Links. Software Downloads.
