  2. OpenStax Saves TCC Students Thousands of Dollars in Textbook Costs

    An initiative to help Tulsa Community College students with the cost of textbooks expands this semester to reach an estimated 2,500 students. TCC partnered with OpenStax, a Rice University-based nonprofit publisher, in the summer of 2016 to boost the use of free online and low cost textbooks across TCC courses.

  3. Summer Internships at NASA’s JPL Means Research and Robotics for TCC Students & Graduates

    Three Tulsa Community College students and recent graduates start a prestigious summer internship program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California this week. David Nnaji, Robin Blanchard, and Scott Walker will spend the next 10-weeks working in labs and conducting research. In addition, Tiffany Verlander, who was a JPL intern last summer, returns through a paid JPL internship.

  7. The ABC’s of Ecofest: Aquaponics, Birdfeeders, Cooking Demonstrations and Do It Yourself

    The 2017 Ecofest offers something for everyone in the family from cooking demonstrations to presentations on protecting our environment, gardening and aquaponics. A new feature this year is the Repair Café with how-to’s for areas of home repair and gardening. The event is free and will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 25 on the TCC Northeast Campus, 3727 East Apache Street.

  9. Sesame Street Puppet Designer Hosts Workshops at TCC

    Emmy-winning puppet, toy, and graphic designer Kip Rathke began his career gluing feathers onto Big Bird for iconic puppet and costume designer Kermit Love. He currently serves as Creative Director at Sesame Workshop, overseeing the design of all Sesame Street licensed toys and experiential entertainment.
