12 Semi-Finalists Named by 2013 TCC StartUp Cup

Tulsa Community College names the 12 Semi-Finalists in the 2013 TCC StartUp Cup business model competition. The competition is powered by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation with the first place winner receiving $30,000, second place, $5,000 and third place, $2,500.
The TCC StartUp Cup competition takes place during a seven-month process and involves a series of events that provide judging, mentoring and coaching from area business leaders and experts to the entrepreneurs.
The 12 business start-ups were selected following a product pitch and interview with a panel of judges and narrowed from a record number of applications for the business model competition.
Bright Tot provides a subscription service that sends themed boxes full of fun, developmentally appropriate activities to families every month.
Carolina Food Company, LLC is the maker of Toasted Wine Fruit Spreads, a patent pending recipe for a wine and fruit based spread using real fruit and real wine.
CleanNG, LLC is the inventor and manufacturer of the MagmaCel, an advanced fuel storage system for natural gas vehicles and creates more storage space while reducing the weight compared to other storage tanks. In addition, the MagmaCel can store a variety of gasses including helium, hydrogen and oxygen.
CNG Oklahoma, LLC sells used CNG dedicated and biofueled vehicles in a retail setting and converts and services automobiles and trucks to CNG with state-certified specialists.
IcyBreeze, LLC is the creator of a modern multi-use portable cooler and air conditioner single unit that simultaneously keeps beverages and people chilled.
idefi Group, LLC allows independent artists to build a free profile on idefi.com through which they can sell their music and merchandise; stream live concerts and events; build and communicate with their fan base; and access and update their social media profiles.
Level Load Industries is the inventor of an electronic device that indicates to a forklift operator whether the forks are level or not, before engaging or disengaging a load.
New Healthy Lifestyle, LLC is the maker of Body Barz, the only grain-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, high protein, low-carb, non-GMO product available and is made with no preservatives, additives, or artificial sweeteners.
Reach Clothing, LLC is a clothing company selling products under a ‘buy one, give one’ business model where for every item purchased – there is an item donated to a child in need in the United States.
SayAh, LLC is the developer of a real-time customizable satisfaction survey tool with point of service collection using tablet (iPad or similar) or any other Apple/Android/Internet capable device.
Smart Panel produces a home energy management product which is mounted on the circuit breaker of homes and small commercial buildings. The tool includes wireless technology that allows remote monitoring of energy consumption and provides for the immediate or scheduled control of circuits.
Two Guys Bow Ties makes unique men’s clothing accessories including wooden bow ties, available in a variety of exotic hardwoods. Additional accessories are in development.
The 2013 12 Semi-Finalists move into the mentoring phase of the competition and will work with coaches who will offer resources and expertise to help the entrepreneurs polish their business models and pitch techniques before competing in the next round where the Final Six are selected. The winner will be named on Nov. 19 during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The TCC StartUp Cup is designed to support entrepreneurial growth, expand business and community connections, and maximize promotional opportunities both locally and nationally.
