Cyndi Ballard

Tulsa native Cyndi Ballard didn’t start out at TCC. But after earning a bachelor’s degree in French from Oklahoma State University and spending 20 years in the telecom and manufacturing fields, she decided to move into a career that inspired her passion.

With experience in animal rescue and training, Cyndi decided to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology from TCC.

“I set a goal for myself that I want to be doing something I care about,” she said. “Animals have always been a huge part of my life.”

By enrolling in the Veterinary Technology program housed at TCC’s West Campus, Cyndi has a quick route to certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

“I think the associate degree program suits me as the best mixture between animal care and hands-on working with animals,” she said. “I didn’t want to go back to school for another seven years; I wanted to rapidly get into a field I care about.”
