Film Screening & Workshop with Artist & Director Sonja Schenk

Meet Swiss-American artist Sonja Schenk at a free screening of "The Olivia Experiment," an independent film released theatrically and well reviewed by the Los Angeles Times. See the film at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5. After the film, Schenk will lead a Q&A session with the audience. The film contains adult themes and language.
Additionally, Schenk will present a free public workshop on collaging and drawing on printed photographs from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, April 4. All supplies will be provided for this workshop, and registration is required by emailing Cindy Barton or calling (918) 595-7339. Registrations are limited to 40 participants. No experience required.
Both events are in the Event Hall of the Center for Creativity.
Schenk was born and raised in Los Angeles. She began as a video installation artist and has since turned to painting and sculpting while continuing to work as a filmmaker. She was artist-in-residence at Shasta-Whiskeytown National Park and has shown work at the Yokohama Triennial in Japan, the Musée du Papier-Peint in Switzerland, the Vincent Price Art Museum in Los Angeles, and the Berkeley Art Center in Northern California.
