Jonica King

Jonica King is a mother of four children who decided to go to college to be a voice for the voiceless. Her daughter, who has special needs, has been her inspiration.

“A degree will help me to help more people,” says Jonica, who graduated in December 2022 with an associate in Enterprise Development.

Jumping in full force to extracurricular activities, Jonica served as the president of several TCC student organizations, including the Student Government Association, National Society of Leadership and Success, Trio Student Association, and Students Who Are Parents. She also helped to found and served as president of the TCC chapter of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature. Other groups she was active with included the Native American Student Association, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the Philosophy Club.

Jonica adds, “The campus life has been awesome, and I know I'm ready for a four-year university.”
