How did you get involved with the SGA?
I like to get involved and make a difference wherever I am. There’s always something that can make other people’s lives better, and I try to always do that.
Why TCC?
I was working in Houston as a technology specialist at Mercedes Benz and realized having an education is what you need to move up and have a steady income. My mom lives here, and the cost-of-living was better.
What has been the biggest benefit of being at TCC?
I’ve gotten so many different opportunities just from being involved on campus. People here are super supportive in helping me achieve my goals and come a more well-rounded leader. Being involved with the SGA has led to more scholarship opportunities. I’m now in the NASA aerospace scholar program, and I’ve gotten to do NASA research.
What do you plan to do with your degree?
I’d like to be in medicine. An anesthesiologist. It requires you be really task focused, which I am. But the thing I like most about it is that you can be involved in so many different kinds of surgery. I could learn about many different fields. Also, I enjoy the reactions when they wake up.
