TCC Forensics Team Wins National Sweepstakes Award

The 2015-2016 Tulsa Community College Forensics and Speech students raised the bar by earning more individual and team awards at state and national competitions than in previous years.
The TCC Forensics and Speech team brought home the gold at Junior Varsity National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, winning the team sweepstakes first place award as overall top school at the tournament. The JV National Tournament is for college and university competitors that have competed for two years or fewer. TCC students winning individual sweepstakes awards were 1st place Hicham Ish Biche, 3rd place Sabrina Abu-Saleh, and 6th place Annie Marquette.
The students also competed in 2016 Pi Kappa Delta National Speech and Debate Tournament held at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
Members of the 2015-2016 TCC Forensics and Speech Team were Sabrina Abu-Saleh, Brook Becker, Hicham Ish Biche, Alison Hamblin, Avery Johnson, Cortez Johnson, Annie Marquette, Jesse Owens, Aylin Reyes, and Chaz Stephens with Head Coach Niki Alderson, Assistant Coach Brittany Hayes, and Forensics Director Dr. Donna Goodwin.
