TCC Metro Classes Are Relocated and Resume Thursday
Published
TCC resumes classes on Thursday for those students and faculty impacted by the fire Monday night at the Main Academic Building on TCC's Metro Campus. Classes on Tuesday and Wednesday had been cancelled at the Metro Campus because of damage from the fire and lack of power. In addition, TCC is moving student services at the Metro Campus like financial aid and the bursar’s office to other locations.
The relocation of classes and services involved roughly 4,000 students and employees from TCC’s Metro Campus. In finding classroom and lab space for the classes and services, TCC is trying to minimize the impact to the academic progress of a student. TCC is also sensitive to the fact that students may have built their class schedule around multiple classes on the same campus.
The relocation involves 79 class sections to Northeast Campus and includes most Liberal Arts and Communication Division classes. Southeast Campus will host 36 sections including all Nursing and Allied Health classes. Most Math and Science classes with labs are being moved to West Campus and involve 68 class sections. In addition, there were a few classes moved online.
Students will need to review the online course relocation schedule for their specific class to find the new location. There is a TCC Metro Campus Update page to address concerns and help TCC Metro students during this relocation and transition.
Students can find directions to the campuses by clicking on the campuses below:
Northeast Campus: 3727 East Apache Street Tulsa, Oklahoma 74115
Southeast Campus: 10300 East 81st Street Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133
West Campus: 7505 W 41st Street South Tulsa, Oklahoma 74107
There will be a welcome station on each campus to assist Metro students who have been relocated because of the fire.
