The Tulsa Community College Board of Regents named Mackenzie Wilfong as TCC’s General Counsel.

Most recently, Wilfong served as Associate General Counsel for the Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents and Oklahoma State University. Prior to that, she was Assistant University Counsel and Director of Equal Opportunity, Title IX Coordinator and ADA Coordinator for Oklahoma State University.

Wilfong will be responsible for handling grievances, policy development and contract review for TCC, Oklahoma’s largest community college that serves more than 25,000 students annually in credit courses. In addition, she will assist TCC in navigating an increasing complex regulatory environment in higher education.

“As a College, we have outgrown our existing policies and our reliance on outside counsel to help TCC respond and navigate the regulatory environment,” said TCC President & CEO Leigh B. Goodson, Ph.D. “She will begin immediately to develop current policies for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, a priority for the College to provide structure for our student success model and to align with TCC’s Strategic Plan.”

Wilfong has a Juris Doctorate from SMU School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs and Administration from University of Oklahoma. She is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma. Wilfong is a certified Title IX investigator, Title IX coordinator and trauma-informed interviewer from ATIXA and the National Center for Campus Public Safety.
