Top 24 Entrepreneurs Named by TCC StartUp Cup

Tulsa Community College saw a record number of applications for the 2013 TCC StartUp Cup and the list of business start-ups has been narrowed to the Top 24. Those entrepreneurs now move to the next round of the business model competition and a shot at the $30,000 top prize.
“Through this competition,TCC is committed to creating and building a strong workforce and supporting entrepreneurs is one of the fastest ways to grow Tulsa’s economy,” TCC President Tom McKeon said. “The TCC StartUp Cup is designed to inspire entrepreneurial growth and expand business and community connections.”
The Top 24 are: 1.0 Innovations LLC; Bailey Built It; Breadcrumbs; Bright Tot; BUILDYOURGARDEN, LLC; Carolina Food Company, LLC; CleanNG, LLC; CNG Oklahoma, LLC; Hero Factor Games, LLC; IcyBreeze, LLC; idefi Group, LLC; identribute.com; Level Load Industries; morrisheatandair.com; MotionHealth Technologies, Inc.; New Healthy Lifestyle, LLC; PT Zoom; Reach Clothing, LLC; Sayah, LLC; Smart Moving Box; Smart Panel; Spike Ranch, LLC; StevieToons, LLC; Two Guys Bow Ties.
Each TCC StartUp Cup competition takes place over a seven-month period and involves a series of events that provide judging, mentoring and coaching from area business leaders and experts to the entrepreneurs.
The TCC StartUp Cup is powered by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation. “We are so excited to help guide these individuals into real world companies through the coaching and mentoring process that will take place in the following weeks,” said Elizabeth Frame Ellison, executive director of the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation.
The Top 24 entrepreneurs move to the next round where they will present a three-minute pitch to judges. The judges will then select 12 Semi-Finalists who move into the mentoring phase. Those 12 participants will work with coaches who will offer resources and expertise to help the entrepreneurs polish their business models and pitch techniques before competing in the next round where the Final Six are selected. The winner will be named on Nov. 19 during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The first place winner will receive $30,000, second place, $5,000 and third place, $2,500.
