TCC Awarded $1.3M for First Generation Students, Economically Challenged Students and Students with Disabilities
Tulsa Community College received $1.3 million to help first generation college students, economically challenged students or students with disabilities. The federal grant, for TRIO Student Support Services, is awarded every five years by the U.S. Department of Education for academic needs.

“Religious State of the 918”: Awareness & Understanding of Religious Diversity
The “Religious State of the 918” is a year-long project to promote awareness and understanding of religious diversity in the Tulsa area and its role in local history and culture. Led by Dr. Allen Culpepper, a Tulsa Community College faculty member, this experience is embedded in the TCC Honors Program for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.

TCC Partners on Public Safety Drone Conference
Drones have proven to be effective to combat crime, help firefighters and assist with search and rescue while keeping individuals out of harm’s way. As more and more law enforcement agencies, first responders, and emergency management organizations use Unmanned Aircraft Systems, or drones, the need for training and sharing best practices grows.

TCC Names New VP of Workforce Development
Peter “Pete” Selden has been named the new vice president of workforce development at Tulsa Community College. The TCC Board of Regents approved his appointment at the April meeting and Selden started his position on May 14, 2018.
