Digital Badges
Digital Badges are new credential types that allow you to show specific skills gained through learning experiences. Once you earn a badge, you may use it however you wish. Digital badges can be put on social media sites such as LinkedIn, added as a link on your digital resume, and embedded in your e-portfolio.
TCC offers three micro-credentials to help prepare you for the workforce: Job Keeping, Job Readiness, and Job Seeking.
Traditional Internships
We can assist you in seeking an internship with local companies and organizations. From search tips and resume development to applications and interviewing, we can guide you from start to finish in finding an internship that can last for the summer, an entire semester, or longer.
What is an internship?
An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest that typically lasts 1-3 months. Internships provide students opportunities for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills.
What to look for in a quality internship
- A part-time or full-time work schedule that includes no more than 25% clerical or administrative duties
- A clear job/project description for the experience
- Orients the intern to the organization, its culture and proposed work assignment(s)
- Helps the student develop and achieve learning goals
- Offers regular feedback to the student intern
